My life -- like anyone else's -- is absolute chaos, so I think it's safe to say summer is going to fly by. I dread this knowledge, but I'll allow it because time passing means more books to read and write.
My next novel, which is currently going by the title Citrus & Spirits, is entering the heftiest stage of editing as we speak. This NA Fantasy novel follows Princess Lorna Balderstone as she tries and fails to escape royal life. When her time in hiding reaches a conclusion thanks to her father's persistent searching, she's faced with the option to abandon her kingdom once more and save herself, or sacrifice her freedom to end the disorder that followed her disappearance.
Citrus & Spirits is filled with dry humor, unexpected twists, unlikely friendships, and an enemies to lovers romance.
This novel may not be for everyone, but it's a genre I've sought to write for many years. Additionally, this will be a trilogy, so readers can look forward to more installments.
In other news, I have sequels in mind for both Lost in Lake Anthony and Trigger Warning. I cannot say when I expect to begin working on either of them, but it'll hopefully be in the next year or so. The delay is due to my wish to rewrite The Little Paragons series and remain sane as my husband and I continue to try to exist!
