The Life of a Stay-at-Home Author

My goals have always been to raise a happy, loving family and publish my novels. At long last, my goals are within reach.

Now you may be reading that thinking, Madison, you're 23, it hasn't been that long, but if you ask my husband, he'll tell you I'm the most impatient person alive. That might sound dramatic, but I truly cannot sit and wait for the microwave to finish beeping before I yank my food out and dive into it. I'm sure there's a more drastic example I could provide (or my husband could remind me), but that's not the point of this post.

The point of this post is to announce that I have been granted the amazing opportunity to quit my job (aided by an unfortunate situation with my previous company causing me to resign) to focus on my family and write my novels.

While this wasn't an easy decision to make, Nick and I agreed that it was the best course of action considering our current goals. It may not be a decision that stands the test of time, but it is certainly one that is benefiting our marriage and personal wishes well. Plus, our dog and cat (Randy and Kitty, respectively) are not complaining that their mom is home more often now.

And the overarching benefit of all this is that I finally have time to write, publish, promote, and sell my books! In the 3 1/2 weeks I've been working on them, there's been an insane amount of progress, and I'm so excited to bring these novels to you soon.

As always, if you want to stay informed about my progress follow me on Facebook or sign up for email notifications.

Until next time!

-Madison
